Same as you would do with cattle on a free-range ranch: pen them in, keep their numbers manageable, use their bodies and biology for various studies, and send them to market when they are ready and the cost of keeping them is a losing deal.

Brutal indeed. And of the litany of assaults, EMR is yet another.

Fortunately, humanity is not 'cattle' and the 'cost' of 'keep' does not appear to capture the counterpoints of wealth creation nor that of de-edukashon, although the sabotage inflicted by the “Long March through the Institutions” (communist: Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937) and reflected by the German Marxist, Rudi Dutschke in the 1960s) effectively took a wrecking ball to the institutions of purported civilisation. The principles of liberty and of moral ethics were seemingly crushed by politics and institutions in 2020.

We're in a running war, a litany of assaults and a testing journey to a finishing tape that breaks at liberty or incarceration.

Of perhaps, all this will lurch along in a continuation of the existential war doomed to failure, that of the irretrievable capture of the human soul.
