The corporate socialist UN Urban Agenda Habitat III makes it quite clear there is no place for private vehicle ownership (except a bicycle) and hints very obliquely that the population will decline. The expensive and pointless EV illusion then is a virtue signalling intermediate step to nowhere. And while oil is a largely infinite resource, though its rate of supply appears vastly exceeded by its rate of generation, significant change thus beckons. The end of civilisation? Who knows for sure? (...as Michael Chrichton also intimated).
